The idea of interfaith dialogue
Allah Almighty said: ((Say, O People of the Book, come to a common word between us and you, that we do not worship but Allah and do not share anything with Him, and do not take each other as lords without Allah, if you take over, say, bear witness that I am Muslims)) (Surah Al-Imran, verse: 64).
It is certain that Islam, through the Qur’an, built its human civilization project through the mechanism of dialogue, including the search for the first divine word that brought together human beings and united their goals, but our call to the People of the Book in particular, the scholars say, does not mean that we approve their religion, but rather that we show them that they are infidels, and that God commands them to leave what they are and to embrace Islam.
If the difference of people in their religions and beliefs is a Sunnah that the Lord of the worlds has decreed and decreed, then the Qur’an considers difference as a human reality and a natural need that cannot be suppressed, and on this basis God created human beings in different tongues, cultures and nationalities.
